Platinum is forever
With GlobalPlus Platinum Visa, your Airpoints Dollars will never expire as long as you are the nominated earner for the account. So once you've earned your points, you could have a lifetime to enjoy the rewards. What's more, any unexpired Airpoints Dollars you earned before you became a GlobalPlus Platinum cardholder also get included.
And what happens to your Airpoints Dollars if you are no longer a GlobalPlus Platinum cardholder or the nominated earner? They simply revert to normal mode, expiring in accordance with the usual Airpoints membership rules (unless you remain an Air New Zealand Gold Elite or Gold member). This means they will expire in the same way as they would have if you never had the non-expiry period.
