1. How do I activate my GlobalPlus Gold International Travel Insurance?
Gold International Travel Insurance covers international travel up to a maximum of 35 days per trip. For a trip to be eligible under the policy, you must depart from, and return to, your residence in New Zealand. 2. What does the Gold International Travel Insurance Policy cover?
Gold International Travel Insurance can cover you for things such as:
Cancellations and travel delays
Medical expenses incurred on your trip
Loss of luggage
Rental vehicle collision damage

3. How do I activate my GlobalPlus Platinum Visa International Travel Insurance?
Simply by being a GlobalPlus Platinum Visa card holder at the time of purchase of your travel. You do not need to advise us of your travel or pay for any of it with your GlobalPlus Platinum Visa card. For full eligibility criteria, see policy document (PDF 358KB)

4. How is interest charged to my account?

5. How will I know my credit card payment has been received?
Your payments will show on your GlobalPlus statement, for the purposes of calculating interest, as of the date that we receive it. However, the payment may not reflect in your balance until the date it is processed. This can take up to two business days.
If paying your account by cheque, your payment must be received by us two business days prior to your statement closing date if it is to appear on your current statement. If we receive your payment after the due date, you may be charged a late payment fee and interest on your purchases. This will appear on your next statement.

7. I applied for a GlobalPlus Platinum Visa card and you've given me a GlobalPlus Gold/GlobalPlus card - why?
When you applied, you may have indicated that if we could not offer you a Platinum that we could provide you with a GlobalPlus or GlobalPlus Gold. As there are minimum credit limits applying to GlobalPlus Platinum Visa cards, if you do not qualify for a sufficiently high limit, we cannot issue you with a GlobalPlus Platinum card. However, we hope you will find your replacement card useful.
At some stage in the future, your credit limit may increase to the point where you qualify for a GlobalPlus Platinum card.
8. Who can apply for a GlobalPlus card?
To apply for a GlobalPlus card:
You must be at least 18 years of age, a permanent New Zealand resident and live in New Zealand
You must also not be an un-discharged bankrupt, or subject to proceedings under the Insolvency Act 1967
You must not be in default with any payment under any credit facility
You do not need to be an existing BNZ customer to apply - click here to apply now
9. What are Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars™ and how do they work with GlobalPlus?
Having a GlobalPlus Card gives you the benefit of earning Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars on your credit card purchases. Airpoints Dollars () are the currency of Airpoints™, Air New Zealand's frequent flyer programme. One Airpoints Dollar is equivalent to one New Zealand Dollar for flight redemptions on Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights. You can use them to pay for any available seat for sale on any Air New Zealand ticketed and operated flights including Grabaseat*.
*Excluding any applicable taxes, levies or surcharges which must be paid for in cash.
