Important travel insurance information for customers who hold GlobalPlus Gold, Platinum or Business credit cards

The GlobalPlus Gold, Platinum, and Business Travel Insurance is provided to cardholders by Amercian Home Assurance Company (New Zealand Branch), trading in New Zealand as Chartis.

Arranging travel can be time consuming enough without having to worry about insurance too. All travel insurance policies have different coverage and benefits - so it's up to you to decide if the cover these policies provide are right for you.

GlobalPlus Gold International Travel Insurance

Your GlobalPlus Gold International Travel Insurance policy1 gives you comprehensive cover for up to 35 days or less for a wide range of unexpected events on your overseas personal holiday – from cancellation and travel delays to medical expenses and loss of luggage. Plus, your family members can be covered if they're travelling with you.

As a GlobalPlus Gold cardholder your International Travel Insurance is at no extra cost, and qualifying for cover is easy. To find out how to activate your cover, or get full details of the cover provided, see the policy document.

GlobalPlus Platinum Visa International Travel Insurance

Your GlobalPlus Platinum Visa International Travel Insurance policy2 gives you comprehensive cover for up to 90 days or less for a wide range of unexpected events on your overseas holiday– from cancellation and travel delays to medical expenses and loss of luggage. Plus, your family members can be covered if they're travelling with you.

As a GlobalPlus Platinum cardholder, you don't have to do anything at all - as long as you're a GlobalPlus Platinum cardholder at the time you pay for your personal travel (subject to a few exceptions for certain cover) you're automatically covered every time you travel overseas. GlobalPlus Business Visa International Travel Insurance

When you're running a business, arranging overseas travel can be time consuming enough without having to worry about travel insurance as well. So it's nice to know your GlobalPlus Business Visa offers GlobalPlus Business International Travel Insurance3 at no extra cost. GlobalPlus Business International Travel Insurance policy gives you comprehensive cover for overseas travel of up to 35 days  (or up to 90 days if you also hold a GlobalPlus Platinum Visa or BNZ Platinum Visa credit card), for a wide range of unexpected events – from cancellation to baggage loss. Immediate family members may be covered if travelling with you on your overseas trip.
