You've finally decided you're going to do that six month kayak down the Amazon, and funding it's going to take a... e... slight increase in your credit limit. So what do you do?
The first thing to know is that your initial credit limit (the highest outstanding balance you can have on your account at any one time) was based on information we had at the time we issued your card - things like your income, debts and your credit history.
Since then, your circumstances might have changed, and you might be eligible for a higher credit limit. If it's six months or more since your card was issued, we'll look at that if you ask us to. Your eligibility will be based on your history of payments on the account and overall account conduct.
